Journalistic concept

Financial Advisor 2026 – Even more value for our readership

The annual newspaper supplement «Financial Year» is being transformed into the focus «Financial Advisor», which will appear for the first time on Friday, 30 January 2026, as part of the full edition of the «Neue Zürcher Zeitung». As always, readers can expect expertly written background articles on financial and economic topics – now combined with genuine service journalism designed to offer clear practical value.

The «Financial Advisor 2026» aims to inform and inspire, enabling everyone to make better decisions about what they wish to do with their money. In this context, concrete courses of action will be researched, as the emphasis of the knowledge provided lies on clarity and practical applicability. Nevertheless, investors and savers remain the architects of their own fortune.

Independent expert insights form the foundation of the editorial content. At the same time, companies and organizations are invited to position themselves thematically with guest contributions. These special features, which appear in «Neue Zürcher Zeitung» or «NZZ am Sonntag», are not produced by the editorial team but by our in-house storytelling service: NZZ Content Creation.

  • Pensions under pressure: How do I close my retirement gap? AHV and BVG face major challenges. Which measures private households need to take themselves – from pension-fund buy-ins and individual savings plans to new opportunities in the 3a pillar.
  • Property: Housing remains expensive, financing becomes cheaper Mortgage rates are falling, demand for properties and real-estate investments stays high – yet regional and demographic risks and market interventions are increasing.
  • Bitcoin & Co.: Add to the portfolio or better leave it Cryptocurrencies are increasingly treated as their own asset class in 2026, but the market remains extremely volatile. Where small allocations make sense – and where caution is advisable.
  • Sustainable investing – trend, obligation or sacrifice of secure returns? ESG investments are growing rapidly, yet quality varies widely. How to identify credible products, and what can truly be achieved in practice through ESG.
  • Private equity, private debt & Co.: Do private investors really need them? Illiquid investments promise stable returns, but are often expensive and complex. Which products are suitable – and which are best avoided.
  • What do stock-market gurus and experienced investors who manage large fortunes say? Which signals professionals observe, how they assess risks, and why even large fortunes are often invested long-term, broadly diversified and surprisingly pragmatically.
