An unforgettable night at the NZZone and audienzz Vintage Circus Summer Party

A magical world unfolded under a twinkling starry sky on the evening of 31 August as NZZone and audienzz joined forces to host the Vintage Circus Style Summer Party. In the picturesque setting of the Riithalle restaurant in Zurich, advertising partners, agencies and publishers experienced an unforgettable night.

A touch of nostalgia and magic

Over 500 guests from a wide range of backgrounds, ranging from creative minds in agencies to CEOs and CMOs, came together on the evening to celebrate a successful year of collaboration. From the very beginning, the magical decoration invites the guests to immerse themselves in a world of marvels and fascination. An illuminated gate with the inscription «Hereinspaziert» (Come in) welcomed the visitors with open arms, while a red carpet guided then into the guest room. Balloons and decorative features such as elephants and carousel horses added to the fairground atmosphere in the restaurant’s spacious garden. Vintage carpets and decorative cushions created an inviting lounge atmosphere, while festoons of cheerful coloured bunting adorned the entire courtyard.

Attractions that cast a spell

A range of attractions in keeping with the evening’s theme were also on hand to entertain guests. The highlight of the evening was the celebrated mind reader Tobias Heinemann who captivated the audience with his amazing magic tricks and mental tours de force. Also contributing to the magical atmosphere was the mysterious fortune teller Madame Selma. If that wasn’t thrill enough, professional tattoo artists offered to engrave artistic masterpieces into the skin of bolder guests – a souvenir for eternity. Traditional fairground tests of strength and skill were particularly popular that evening as they offered the opportunity to win an extra ticket for the raffle planned for later in the evening and thus significantly increase the chance of winning one of the prizes. To ensure that no one went hungry, the candyfloss machine and the hawker strolling among the guests offered culinary delicacies traditional at the circus.

Token of common future

The joint speech by Adrian Näf and Remo Baumeler during the evening underlined the coming together of NZZone and audienzz and heralded even closer links in the future. The speech also reminded listeners of connections with the media houses «Le Temps» and «Corriere del Ticino» which are marketed by NZZone and audienzz, rendering French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino accessible to our clients and partners and making a nationwide presence in three languages possible.

The end of the speech marked the moment for the opening of the many different food stalls. From barbecues to burgers to gourmet hot dogs, the guests were treated to culinary delights and were able to gather their strength ready for the dancing that followed in the Riithalle. Good music, delicious drinks and a carefully decorated dance floor made the last hours of the evening another highlight.
